Jolie and Caden have my heart bursting with their beautiful engagement photoshooot! Literally just lok at these photos and you’ll be in love with both of them in no time haha!
We went up to the snowy mountains in the canyons near Salt Lake City to capture this timeless kind of beauty. I mean, talk about a dreamy backdrop for love! Picture this: snow-covered mountains, cozy embraces, and the most adorable couple ready to celebrate their forever.
Now, let's dive into the juicy stuff – creative direction. You know, the secret sauce that turns a photoshoot into a timeless love story. That’s where I excell (not to took my own horn). I love getting to show a couples true colors and helping them get comfortable in front of my lens!
Getting to know Jolie and Caden was key. I mean, anyone can say "stand here, smile there," but the real magic happens when you know how to bring out their unique chemistry. I actually have the unique pleasure of knowing Jolie (and being dear friends with her grandparents) from back when we were kids! Our mothers grew up together, so we had a special tie that really let us drop our walls with each other quickly and get right into making magic!
Jolie and Caden are like a rom-com waiting to happen. So, instead of sticking to the usual poses, I focused on directing them in a way that sparked those genuine, laugh-until-your-belly-hurts moments. It's in those candid exchanges that you capture the soul of a couple. Jolie's infectious laughter and Caden's eyes lighting up – those are the shots that make a love story come alive.
We were quite literally WAIST-deep in snow, and I’m not just talking about the fluffy, Instagram-worthy kind. (see the photos Jolie got of me making my way through the snow banks to get the right angle!)
But these troopers embraced it, and that's when the magic happened. I asked them to just be themselves, and it was like watching a scene from their love story unfold naturally. No forced smiles or awkward poses – just pure, unfiltered connection.
Now, let’s talk about the importance of knowing your couple. I'm not saying I'm a mind reader, but getting a feel for their vibe is like having a superpower. You see, Jolie loves those soft, tender moments, and Caden is a bit more reserved in front of the camera. So, I made sure to capture all of that together. It's about knowing when to say "snuggle up and be cozy" and when to shout "roll in the snow!" (which I did, and they did!)
I love this tender moment between the two. The way they’re both looking at their hands clasped together makes my heart melt!
no because this wedding ring??!!!!?? I’m simply SO obsessed, it is stunnnnnninnnnng, and fits Jolie’s very classic Hollywood type vibe so so perfectly.
Bringing out their playful side was one of my favorite parts of the evening!
Rolling in the snow may have been FREEZING cold, but at least they looked ICONIC while doing it!!
As we wrapped up the shoot, I couldn’t help but be excited for these two and their upcoming Spring wedding in New York. Knowing these two, it's going to be a celebration filled with love and laughter.
