Couples Cherry Blossom Photoshoot in Utah - Poise and Ivy Imagery
In northern Utah in the springtime we get to experience wildflowers in the valley as they bloom and the cherry orchards begin flowering.
This incredibly beautiful time of the year is absolutely jaw dropping, and any photographer is loathe to miss such an opportunity to show off their clients! I have the wonderful chance to photograph couples, weddings, engagements, and so forth, so when Bryn and Parker reached out to me to schedule their couples photoshoot in the cherry blossoms, I was ecstatic!
Bryn and Parker have been in my life for a few years now and I was honored that they chose me to capture this beautiful moment for them.
Helping people romanticize their lives is something I thrive doing, and I do it well.
That said, let’s take a look at some of my favorite photos from their shoot!
I wanted to get a few shots similar to this. When the cherry blossoms are in focus, and my couple is out of focus, it reminds us to focus on the little beauties happening around us every day.
I love this delicate hand hold. I told Parker “hold Bryn’s hands gently, and almost like you’re reading her palms” LOL! Sometimes my most romantic poses and prompts have some of the silliest phrasing.
THE PETALS FALLING! Are you kidding!!??! Nothing says “romantic” like this. Bryn and Parker spent this moment in actual real life heaven. If there were a film & production crew behind me saying “That’s perfect, annnndd - cut!” I wouldn’t be surprised hahah. These two were made for happy rom - com magic.
Ok I may have “broken” and few photography “rules” with this one, but let’s be honest. Everything about this photo adds to the romanticism of it. I feel “in the moment.” As Abba said “It was a fine and true romance; I can still recall our last summer, I still see it all.”
Each of these photos makes you feel something wonderful. Spinning in the sunlight under light romantic blossoms, wind blowing you into your loved one in a soft embrace, laughing at each other as you twirl around and enjoy the sheer romance of sharing a beautiful moment with the person you love.
Arguably one of my favorite photos from the whole entire photoshoot. Parker is so gentle and purposeful in his love for Bryn, and Bryn in turn shares her love with Parker fully. This moment they shared, the touch, the petals in their hair. Everything is perfect.
Bryn and Parker haven’t had professional photos done in a few years, and the last photo ended up not being quite what they were envisioning. As they were unhappy with the results, Bryn was nervous and shared her hesitancy with me. Both Bryn and Parker claimed to not be “naturals” in front of the camera, and they were nervous about their ability to be posed in flattering and happy light.
I get that.
Almost all of my couples come to me with the same anxieties. It’s my job to capture your romance, and believe me when I tell you I am damned good at what I do.
If you’re anxious about being in front of my camera, know you’re not alone. But I’m here for you, and we’ll have a great time talking and getting to know each other and having a low stress photoshoot, and we’ll still end up with magazine - worthy images like the ones above.
I love being able to capture such intimacy and love in your everyday life. If you’ve ever been curious about a photoshoot to commemorate your love or a specific time in your life, reach out to me! I’d love to get to know you and be your photographer <3
All the love
