Bonneville Utah Salt Flats Elopement - Poise & Ivy Imagery
I swear I will never be over this elopement! I’m so happy Paulo and Angela decided to come out to Utah to elope, all the way from their home state of New York. They definitely brought their “old money” New York fashion with them! Paulo and Angela’s wedding style absolutely screams “timeless” and “elegant.”
Keep scrolling to see just how well literally every part of the day showcased their wedding beautifully.
I know it’s not traditional, but I absolutely love when a couple gets ready together. Even better if you have a luxury desert getaway to spend the morning in!
Harsh sun? No problemo. Actually, I have a newfound soft spot for photographing couples in direct sun because look at how stunning these two are!!
Spending the morning together admiring Utah’s unique landscape.
Angela’s dress is absolutely to die for! The tie in the back, the full length buttons down the train? In love. I’m a huge fan of how she complimented the silky texture with pearls on her shoes. Talk about timeless!
Paulo is a cool car aficionado, so of course a beautiful BMW convertible sports car was a must for their luxury desert elopement.
What can be more calming than walking to the altar with none other than your bethrothed?
After Paulo and Angela’s vows, they exchanged rings as a representation of their never - ending love and devotion to one another.
The first kiss officially as husband and wife!
They brought a bottle of champagne to accompany the celebration. Nothing says “luxury” like the sun sparking through crystal champagne flutes after your desert elopement.
Angela’s bridal details in the sunset could not be better. The way that the light flits off the salt flats and creates a soft golden aura around her and her groom is the stuff of dreams.
Angela’s veil reflecting and diffusing the sunset = gorgeous. The Salt Flats looking like a sea of pearls under their feet = jaw dropping.
Photographing sun flares can be extremely difficult, but this colorful sunset was the perfect compliment to the timeless style these two brought.
This convertible was actually so cool. Paulo is making me want to become a car aficianado!
The moon started to peek out as the sunset faded into night. Oranges and reds became pastel pink and blue. These fifteen minutes directly after sunset are so magical and it’s rare to be able to capture this time. Paulo and Angela were drinking all of Utah’s beautiful colors in as their wedding day came to a romantic close.
Night fell and the flash came out! Because this is an elopement, they waited to have their after party and wedding reception back home in New York with their friends and families. Nonetheless, the party vibes persisted as Paulo and Angela celebrated their love together with the headlights of their sports car shining onto them on Utah’s famous Bonneville Salt Flats.
I loved photographing Paulo and Angela’s elopement, and I would be honored to capture more love stories like theirs!
